Hugh Jackman is most famous for playing Wolverine.

But on Wednesday he was playing the much more important role of father, shepherding his family through the New York cold.

The 45-year-old actor and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness took a leisurely stroll to pick up their eight-year-old daughter Ava Elliot up from school, after which Hugh hailed a cab home for the trio.
