         Tiwa Savage and Davido headlined the African Unplugged concert which held yesterday Sunday September 14th at the O2 Brixton Academy in London. So Tiwa was in Lagos on Saturday night for Mo Abudu's show where she performed and flew out same time to make it in time for this show in London on Sunday night. What a busy life! I hear Tiwa and Davido gave an incredible show.

        Movie producer Tchidi Chikere and his actress wife Nuella Njubigbo are expecting their first child together.           Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola today visited the site of the collapsed building inside the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun. He commiserated with the church founder, Prophet T.B Joshua and also ordered all church workers to stop work on the site to enable officials of the Nigerian Emergency Management Authority work effectively.

        T h e Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) has confirmed in an official statement that a building collapsed today (killing several people), stating that rescue operation is currently taking place. Find their statement after the cut...

          Many people are reported to have died with several others injured after a 5-storey building located inside the headquarters of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun, Lagos collapsed around  2pm  this afternoon. Many worshipers who lived inside the church building were among those who died while some are believed to still be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building. Four ambulance buses have arrived the scene to take the injured to the hospital while the dead ones are being evacuated to the mortuary.  Details later... Update: There are reports that as many as 50 people died this afternoon when the building collapsed. The building is also said to be is reserved for foreigners visiting the church for spiritual help.

                  Some of you don't know this, but singer/producer OJB Jezreel was involved in a car accident a few weeks ago that left the friend riding with him in a hospital for three whole weeks Speaking about it for the first time, OJB explains what happened to Encomium magazine "I was coming from Abeokuta with a friend in his car. I think they didn't tighten the bolt of the tyre very well. By the time we were around Mowe, the tyre gave way and the car tumbled and the glass scattered. My friend was seriously injured. I was also injured but not as badly. After the accident, I couldn't walk very well. I was treated and a few weeks I had to walk around with a stick. I dropped the stick three days ago. I'm a lot better now. The things that have been happening from the surgery to the accident, it is God. Some people would have died if they had gone through all that I have gone through but God has been gracious to me."

The 5th week &  Orijinality stopped over at Calabar and Awka in style this past weekend and mashed up with loyal Orijin consumers as Naija’s most anticipated party night came through their cities. The  excitement was palpable as Spinall set the mood to party with colourful Naija and foreign mixes which was climaxed when Don Gordon himself came up to perform to the delight of everyone present. The energy in Calabar went on all through the night with lots of Orijin to keep everyone motivated.

        The Federal government has directed all primary and secondary schools to resume on  Monday September 22nd . The resumption date for schools had earlier been postponed to  October 13th  as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.

       Christian Mothers in Mgbishii, a rural community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area in Imo state have cried out to the government and the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiatical Province, Dr. Anthony Obinna, over alleged atrocities being committed by their sons and daughters in the area. According to  Vanguard , the women made this appeal during a recent visit to the Catholic Archbishop at the Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral in Owerri.
