NIGERIA POLICE NATIONWIDE SECURITY ALERT
The Nigeria Police Force has issued a nationwide security alert after receiving information that terrorists may be planning attacks on churches, schools, NYSC camps and other public places across Nigeria. According to a police message dated September 13, 2026, security agencies received information that suspected terrorists were increasing their activities and may be monitoring places they plan to attack. The areas of major concern include the North-East, North-West, North-Central and some parts of the South-West. Police also reported the movement of armed groups from Katsina through Kaduna towards Plateau State. NPolice commands across the country have now been told to increase security, patrols and surveillance, especially around churches, mosques, schools, NYSC camps and other vulnerable places.
